Hello Ladies and Gents,

I hope no one assumed that Jonathan was a bachelor. I am his wife El, and we've been married for a year already (wow how it flew by!). I thought I would introduce myself to his followers and the project he has started. I like to think I support his cause from afar, but this article is the exception to the rule.

I would consider myself a fairly active citizen in our local community. I LOVE to dance! I like to read but I can't say I like to read anything that's suggested to me, only romance. Jonathan tries to get me to read other literature, but unless we read it together book club-style I can't stick with it.

I thought I would include this photo of an old 1950's advertisement. It describes me to a T! I can't cook, I bake, so Jonathan does most of the cooking so we don't go hungry. If our work schedules were different it might be different, but for now that is how it is.

I like to think I am very independent, but a lot of women are independent. So... I challenge those reading, do you have independence or autonomy. Autonomy is defined by Merriam-Webster Dictionary as:

autonomy 1: the quality or state of being self-governing especially: the right of self-government 2: self-directing freedom and especially moral independence

I have a lot of opportunities to self-govern because I've proven myself to my husband that I can be trusted. It is slowly earned, is the only advice I have about that. I will say one thing I relinquished was having to pay the bills. Jonathan could see it was stressing me out trying to pay everything on time and have the life I had which was a filled social-volunteer-health calendar to say the least! I had to trust things would get paid on time and all those womanly worries when you give something up you've been doing for eons! It was one of the best decisions we made together and now all I do is balance the checkbook at my leisure once a month. Oh, life!

So you've glimpsed a little insight about me. I'm going to purpose a question, Share your answer or experience with us on Tumblr or Facebooks

Is there a job or a task that stresses you out that you think your partner might be better at? Why don't you let them take care of it? What's holding you back from trusting them?

Well, that's me, over and out! xo El
