Loving Authority - Key is Balance

Relationships used to be about the balance between partners that the husband and wife maintained. As our technology and social issues advanced, that balance from the past generations became lost with both partners working. Unfortunately this lack of balance in an age of dual incomes encourages hostilities, distrust, and aggression among partners. Misandry and Misogynistic attitudes are rising to critical mass in our society.
How do we bring balance back without undoing the social and technological advances we have made?

At Loving Authority, we believe the key is maintaining a proper balance through building a power exchange relationship. Calm down. If this word sets off any bells, whistles or alarms in your mind let me ease your worries. Give me a moment to explain.
Often those who decide to explore these relationships get hung up on the Power and forget to follow through with the exchange. Lets break this down for you.
Power Exchange Exchange: (Verb\Noun) Give something and receive something of the same kind in return.
Lets start with the hardest part, The exchange.
When you love someone you don't just love them for their cooking skills or their attire. Sure that might have been the selling point or the beginning of the attraction but its through the growing process that you discover what skills they have that can benefit the partnership more. Here's a shocker! All of us have areas where we can improve on or are not our strong points. Finding a partner that can balance those areas out is key to restoring the balance in our modern relationships. While you enjoy whatever feature it is about the partner, learning to let them help you in one area or another is important. It doesn't make you any less of an authority figure in your relationship.
Kings, Presidents, Leaders of all kinds are only in a position of Authority because someone allows them to lead. You want to be allowed to lead in your relationship, try sharing and discussing the relationship.
Power Exchange
Power: (Noun) The capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events.
Oh the fun part, well at-least that's what the major media giants want you to think. Movies are lined with stories of abusive partners (often portrayed as males), or kinky dominate figures. They focus on their fetishes. What these media sources don't show is the harshness of having to make decision in tight situations, having to be firm when you want to show tenderness. Yes there are fetish groups, social groups, and other 'movements' trying to get men to be men again and restore their 'Alpha' male roles. None of these tell you about the connection that Power has with the exchange and how one has to feed the other. Power without the Exchange is a fetishism, a momentary pleasure.
Loving Authority is about restoring that balance beyond just a momentary pleasure. Its about finding that balance where both partners feed and learn from each other.
